When You Wish Upon a Star…
The Blue Fairy descended from the heavens because of a small voice making a wish that seemed close to impossible. The Fairy God Mother twinkled into view as a young woman, desperately wishing to live a life she dreamed, “cast” her spell to set the “wish” in motion.
These are the things that fairy tales are made of; wishes, dreams, magic spells and an unusual support person( you remember Jiminy Cricket?). Or are they?
I have had my “wishes” answered, not by a Fairy Godmother ( unless I count as my own magical wish giver), but by my own clarity in looking at what I truly want in my life.
Years ago I started keeping a journal – long before I knew how significant writing intentions, dreams and goals could be. I wrote about “what I wanted” in my life. Some “wants’ were vague or unclear – nothing materialized there. But, the wants that I described with clear detail, creating mental images and evoking inner feelings, were the ones that appeared. (Or manifested…the buzzword of our time.) When I write, not only am I very clear in my details – the look of the situation, the “feelings” I have, the scent in the air, even the detail of the clothes I wear - but once the intentions are written I let it go. I do not hold on to “how” things will show up, which is not always easy being a person that loves to “figure things out”.
Trust and inner knowing play a very big part when creating the the life we dream possible. When your “Jiminy Cricket” gives you a message – listen – it’s generally right on.
The other key in this process is action. You know what you want, but you have to be ready to act on the parts of your dream that show up. For clarity’s sake, when these parts show up take notice, they may not be the what you expected, but are part of the “plan” of your life. If you get the “inkling” to contact someone – do it! It may be just the catalyst necessaary in your forward motion and the evolution of your life vision.
I have used my “magic journal” again to create my inspired and evolving life. My business is growing, touching many lives and opening people up to their unique differences. My relationships are with like-minded people who are ready to open up to the journey ahead – and create life the way they WANT it. And, I am following my soul-purpose. It doesn’t mean there are not rough waters and rapids in this flow, there are, but I trust that when I stay in this flow and work through uncertainlty, clear waters are just ahead.
